Arnie: He'll be back?
Some rumours going around that Moyes would like Arnautovic back in January.

https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1376053/West-Ham-news-David-Moyes-board-divided-Marko-Arnautovic-transfer

For me: he's the best striker we've had in years. He's made his money and has been saying on social media that he wants to come back for the last year. 18 month contract. Better than Haller, and can rotate with Antonio given his dodgy knee and Antonio's dodgy hamstring.

You cunts?

I agree. In my defence, I did say I wouldn't have him back, on balance.

Re: Arnie: He'll be back?
Let's not let the poor form of Haller make us think that Arnie was some kind of world class striker.

He was decent and could have been better but his scoring record was not exactly prolific and he he had a tendancy to disappear, especially when there is a sniff of something better elsewhere.

Nowhere near the kind of quality or talent that it's worth forgiving his previous beahaviour.

11 goals in his highest scoring season.

I'll take him back. He fucked us over, but he got offered a life changing fortune for him and his grandkids, plus he'd been shit with money so I think he shit himself. Just get the cunter back to destroy.

I don't care how skillful he is (or was). It's a question of character. He's not made of the 'right stuff' for us.The guy is toxic and we should stay well clear.

Re: Arnie: He'll be back?
Putting the way he left aside - He isn't the only player to have engineered a move away, how Payet acted was just as bad IMO- I'm trying to look at this for footballing reasons.

Would he improve the team as it is? Yes but we don't know how good he is and what his fitness is like now. Top-form Arnautovic would improve us short term.

I would only be in favour of a short term deal because of his age. He'll be 32 by the end of the season so we don't want to be paying big wages for an ageing player who we then get lumbered with. His attitude and potential disruption of the team is also a concern but Moyes seemed to iron that out and get him playing well last time so I'd be confident he could handle him. His brother, on the other hand, is a cunt who should get the fuck out of it.

I'd rather we went into the Championship and signed a younger player on a longer term deal on less wages. Similar to what we did with Bowen.

It's a no for me for those reasons. A part of me thinks though that if Moyes wants Arnautovic then the board should back him. If it goes wrong then that Moyes' funeral. Manager lives and dies by his decisions.

We don't ever learn, ever.

The only thing that's different with this one is sullivan probably holds a personal grudge. So I'm ruling out this madness from the start.

He left for money.
He, along with other mercenaries, wants out of China due to them implementing salary caps. I think I read £50k a week.

If he wants to come back here for footballing reasons then pay him no more than the Chinese salary cap.

Re: Arnie: He'll be back?
Speaking in September, Arnautovic admitted he had initially underestimated the demands of football in China.

"I underestimated the conditions here. I was thinking okay, I'll come here, like in Europe, let's play a game, it should not be hard. It was very hard," he said.

"It was true, I had some games that were not good and I know the expectations are high, but I'm ready and born for this. I'm born for challenges

"I underestimated and I didn't train and I didn't look after my body, drinking fizzy drinks, what is not good for the body. Eating at wrong times.
